November has been a slow but steady month for planning activity, with a small number of new applications submitted and several decisions issued. Most proposals were modest and uncontentious, though two applications required formal objections from BPCCRA. These were the redevelopment proposals at 13–15 Lindsay Road, which raise concerns over design quality, materials and the site’s location within the Conservation Area, and the extension and alterations at 15 Ravine Road, where several elements fall short of Conservation Area policy expectations.
Elsewhere, the decisions issued this month present a mixed picture: some schemes demonstrate good contextual design, while others highlight continued inconsistencies in the council’s assessment of quality and character.
BPCCRA will continue to review all applications carefully to ensure that development across the ward supports local character and maintains the high standards expected in this area.
