Winter has arrived; the first frosts, heavy rain and storm force winds together with the odd bright and sunny day. The Council’s small work force fights a largely losing battle to clear pine needles and unblock drains. It does help when members highlight a particular problem area. There is a section on the BCP website to report problems and our ward councillors are always prepared to help if Council staff fail to respond.
Some dates:
- Our December BPCCRA open meeting will be on Wednesday 10th December, 7-30 Committee Room St Aldhelm’s Church Hall Poole. Christmas drinks and Nibbles will be served at the end of the meeting.
- We will be celebrating the successful rebuilding of the two shelters at Pinecliff gardens; 10-30 at the Pinecliff Gardens on Thursday 11th All are welcome, especially our volunteer gardeners!
Your association is kept active and strong by a relatively small band of dedicated volunteers. We are always looking for member who can help us in any way. We would still like someone to help us keep in touch with our vital group of Street Wardens, and aid the Association in keeping this important function up to date and flourishing. Anyone who would consider this (It’s not too onerous!) should contact me and I will be happy to discuss in more detail what is involved. Also, anyone used to handling Spreadsheets would be a great help to our treasurer and our membership secretary.
Finally, may I wish everyone the very best for Christmas and the New Year.
