December 2025 Planning List

The latest planning list is available here.

December has been a relatively busy month for planning activity in the Canford Cliffs ward, with a broad mix of new applications, variations and decisions coming forward ahead of the year end.
While many proposals were modest and uncontentious, a number raised procedural or design concerns that required closer scrutiny by BPCCRA.

Several applications this month highlighted recurring issues around the clarity and accuracy of submitted information, including inaccurate descriptions of development and a lack of clear comparative drawings where approved schemes were being varied. In a small number of cases, BPCCRA submitted objections focused on transparency, procedural robustness and the need for meaningful public consultation, rather than opposition in principle.

Decisions issued during the month again present a mixed picture. Some schemes demonstrate a thoughtful response to context and policy, while others underline ongoing inconsistencies in the assessment of scale, character and cumulative change, particularly within Conservation Areas.

BPCCRA will continue to review all applications carefully to promote high-quality, well-considered development across the ward and to ensure that planning decisions are made on a clear, consistent and transparent basis.
