June 2025 Newsletter

The year flies by, its summer; but the issues the Association faces don’t go away. Planning proposals that if passed, will further degrade our area continue to role in (just read John H’s May report!).

We battle to get the modest amounts of BCP’s “Improvements Money” spent on key items that really will improve our area such as the road safety issues that Vicki is persistently pointing out to the powers that be.

Changes in planning law and the way the planning approval process works are currently being debated in parliament and I hope we and the other local Residents Associations will be able to meet with our Poole MP so that our concerns are fully understood. NORA ( the National Organisation of Residents Associations) have asked to give an input for their formal response to the government’s plans. We will discuss this at our forthcoming Association Open meeting, after which your Exec committee will prepare our input.

The Next Association Open Meeting will be on Wednesday 11th June, usual time and place. Apart from the normal update on planning matters and the changes in planning law mentioned above, we hope to learn more about plans for a Poole Town Council. Hope to see many of you there.
