The latest planning List is available here
June saw another relatively modest month of planning activity, with no major new development proposals submitted in the ward. Most new applications were householder or minor in nature,
although several involved sensitive sites.
Notable new applications included substantial householder works at Ortega, 1 The Drive; revised proposals at 14 Burton Road following earlier refusals; and alterations at 21 Sandbourne Road following positive pre- pplication advice.
The month also included several decisions and procedural updates, including the dismissal of the appeal at 5 Chaddesley Wood Road, the refusal of a replacement dwelling at the same site, and the refusal of a non-material amendment seeking to reduce the Construction Exclusion Zone at 19 Western Avenue. Several smaller applications were approved or withdrawn, reflecting the ongoing pattern of incremental residential change across the area.
BPCCRA will continue to review applications and decisions carefully, commenting where proposals raise concerns about scale, design quality, neighbour amenity, trees, biodiversity, heritage or the wider character of the ward. Residents are encouraged to remain engaged with local planning activity and to contact BPCCRA at planningBPCCRA@pinesandchines.co.uk if they become aware of proposals that may affect the character or amenity of the area.
