Dear Members

Plans for AGM

As you may already have seen on the front cover of our Magazine, the AGM is now booked at the Canford Cliffs Village Hall on Saturday 14 May 2022.   The meeting starts at 10:30 am, and we will try to deal with the normal business as quickly as possible.  Our Guest Speakers are Sir Robert Syms MP, and Drew Mellor, leader of the BCP Council.  As usual, refreshments will be served at the end of the meeting.

Our last AGM was on 11 May 2019, when none of us could have foreseen the terrible events of the last two years.  Obviously we expect our Residents to take all necessary precautions to protect themselves and other people attending.  The maximum capacity in the Village Hall is 100, and we will have to enforce that restriction.  At the last meeting, there were slightly more than 100 people present.

Magazine Summer 2022

Our latest magazine has some interesting articles on different aspects of our area. Our Editor, John Gunton, has done an excellent job, as have the printers, Shadow Design.  Thanks also to our Wardens and other volunteers who distributed the magazine.  It should soon appear on the website as well.

Next Monthly Meeting

Given the timing of the AGM, the May monthly meeting will not take place.  The next meeting will be on Wednesday 8 June 2022, starting at 7:30pm.  It will be in the Committee Room at the rear of the Branksome St. Aldhelms Parish Centre (accessed from Lindsay Road)

Volunteers

The last two years have led to reduced social engagement for us all.  One consequence of this is that we are in serious need of new committee members, including people who are able to deal with administrative and computer-related matters.  We would be pleased to hear from any member who could help us to run the Association successfully.
