Dear Members

Plans for Next Meeting

We invite our members to the next meeting on Wednesday 13 September 2023. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm, in the Committee Room at the rear of the Branksome St. Aldhelms Parish Centre (accessed from Lindsay Road). Our Chairman Peter Schroeder has a prior engagement, so Dugald Eadie will once more chair this one.

Message from our Chairman, Peter Schroeder

As our summer ends with a welcome burst of warmth and sunshine, the Pine Cliff Gardens are looking magnificent. This is thanks to the dedicated work of our stalwart band of volunteer gardeners.

Vicky, our hard-working project co-ordinator, organised a very successful meeting at the gardens with BCP’s Parks and Gardens specialists, helping to ensure their continuing support. Watch this space for further news!

In the meantime, we continue to monitor planning applications and decisions, though the last two months have been very quiet.

If any members wish to suggest items to be included in future newsletters, please send them to the chairman at p.r.schroeder39@gmail.com. The newsletter is usually prepared by the weekend before the monthly meeting, so that means you should send any message just after the first Wednesday of the month. Our regular monthly meetings have now been re-instated, on the second Wednesday of each month.

Message from Vicky Moss, our Special Projects Co-ordinator

We need volunteers to oil the benches in Pinecliff Gardens, and also anyone interested in volunteering at the Canford Cliffs Library garden.
